Skills / Experience / Background:

I have been a governor at Broughton Community Schools since 2020 and took on the role of Wellbeing Lead Governor because of my interest in the best ways to promote staff and pupil wellbeing in schools. I teach at the school part-time, covering PPA, and have been teaching in mainstream primary schools since 2010. I have written two books on wellbeing – Wellbeing In The Primary Classroom and A Little Guide To Teacher Wellbeing and Selfcare and I am the deputy chair of the strategic board for the Well Schools Movement.

I graduated from Manchester University with a degree in English Lit and Lang. and completed a post-grad course in music production. Before retraining to become a teacher, I worked for several years in the music industry – working for record labels and music publishers.

I live in Tring with my wife and two young sons.
